Spring is a fantastic season to be outdoors having all the fun you want. Spring presents a not too hot-not too cold weather great for many outdoor activities. If you live in Charleston, you already know some of the things to do and places to go for a good time. However, for those who are touring Charleston, below is a guide on some of the sights to take in and fun activities to engage in this South Carolina destination. 

Enjoy the stunning views at Battery, which is a seawall found along the southern peninsula. From here, you can see Fort Sumter and watch the sunset in a marvelous view over the water. You can also stop at the Edmondston-Alston house museum for a guided tour of the mansion that has historic collections. 

The Magnolia Plantation & Gardens is a spectacular place to visit as well. It features beautiful flowers of different colors, serene waterways, Spanish moss, and live oaks. When you want to get away from busy streets, Magnolia is a nice place to go and calm your mind, as you marvel at the beautiful plants. 

Are you enthusiastic about the military? Visit the military museum for a tour and learn as much as you would like, as you watch aircrafts land and take off from the ship deck. 

The Waterfront Park is another remarkable Charleston sight. It is a beautiful spot with fountains, green space, and a view of the Charleston Harbor. Take your time to breathe in the fresh air, relax, and unwind before embarking on your tour. 

There are many activities to participate in when in Charleston for fun. After sightseeing, it is time to have a good time. For example, if you have kids, consider visiting waterparks on James Island and in Mt Pleasant. You are sure of them having a memorable experience. Besides, you can also attend the Spoleto festival that runs from late May to mid-June. It is an art and culture festival that involves theater, jazz, comedy, dance, opera, and ballet performances to mesmerize your senses. Dance, laugh, meet new people, and explore the culture around you. Make sure you take as many photos as you can for your social media and future reference. 

If you love shopping, Charleston has many places for you to purchase stuff. For instance, you can shop in Summerville town square where you will find local boutiques and shops. Buy yourself something nice for spring. When you need a break from shopping, have a meal at one of the many restaurants and reenergize for your next stop. If you need some latte, this place has coffee shops for that purpose. Charleston also has rooftop bars, such as Pavilion Bar and Stars Rooftop & Grill. 

Your trip to Charleston is not complete without going to the beaches. You have several choices, including Folly Beach, Isle of Palms and Kiawah Island. Put on a nice, bright dress or shorts and head to the beach. Feel the sand in between your toes, get into the water, and have all the fun you want.
